Albano Poli Stacked Murano Glass Wall Light, Italy, c.1970s

$1,850.00 AUD

Beautiful switched off; considerably better switched on.

A sculptural Italian wall light attributed to Poliarte, produced in Murano during the 1970s. Constructed from individually formed slabs of thick textured glass, each panel features a clear, softly bubbled body framed by warm amber glass edges. The panels are arranged in overlapping horizontal layers, creating an architectural form that changes considerably when illuminated, with the irregularities of the handmade glass catching and refracting the light. A particularly strong example of 1970s Italian lighting, balancing the weight and brutality of substantial Murano glass with the warmth of amber detailing.
