Poliarte Brutalist Murano Glass Wall Sconce by Albano Poli, Italy, c.1960s-1970s
The wall light equivalent of ordering a negroni.
Designed by Albano Poli for Poliarte, this sculptural Italian wall sconce combines thick hand-chiselled Murano glass with a forged iron frame in one of the studio's most recognisable Brutalist designs. Alternating amber and clear glass panels create remarkable depth and texture, while the raw iron framework gives the piece an architectural presence that feels equally at home in contemporary and historic interiors. More than simply a wall light, it functions as a sculptural object, casting a warm, atmospheric glow through the richly textured glass.
