Antique tramp art lidded box, dated 1936, constructed using the traditional stacked and notched wood technique characteristic of early American folk art. The exterior is fully covered in chip-carved geometric patterning, with repeated layered carving across all visible surfaces. The piece sits on raised pedestal feet, a defining feature of higher-quality tramp art construction.
