Designed by celebrated Spanish sculptor David Marshall, this sculptural firescreen dates to the 1980s and exemplifies the designer's unmistakable approach to cast metal. Organic perforations punctuate a heavily textured aluminium panel, framed by sculptural solid brass handles and feet that elevate the piece from functional object to architectural statement.
Marshall's work blurred the line between furniture and sculpture, combining Brutalist materiality with fluid, biomorphic forms inspired by nature and Mediterranean landscapes. Even when not in use, this piece reads as a work of art.
