Arts & Crafts Hammered Silver-Plated Footed Bowl, England, c.1900

$450.00 AUD

This is how collections start.

A beautifully hand-hammered Arts & Crafts footed bowl dating to around 1900, crafted in silver plate over copper. Time has gently worn the silvered surface to reveal warm copper undertones beneath, creating the rich patina that only a century of age can produce. Raised on four sculptural spiral feet with elegant scroll handles, the bowl embodies the handcrafted philosophy of the Arts & Crafts movement, where honest materials and skilled workmanship were celebrated above ornament for ornament's sake. Equally striking styled empty on a console or filled with trinkets, this is one of those understated antique pieces that quietly elevates an entire room.
