It's abstract, that's the point.

An original mid-century American abstract oil painting, believed to date to the 1950s, featuring a geometric composition of architectural forms, intersecting planes and overlapping blocks of colour.

The unsigned work combines angular structures with curved arches and fragmented perspectives, incorporating earthy ochres, terracotta, turquoise, muted blues, greens and warm neutrals. Visible brushwork and layered applications of oil paint create variations in texture across the composition.

Presented in a newly commissioned dark walnut floating frame.

Origin: America.

Era: c.1950s.

Attribution: Unknown artist; unsigned.

Materials: Oil on board, dark walnut finish timber floating frame.

Dimensions:  H 49 x W 64 x D x 6 cm.

Condition: Good; vintage. Signs of wear and patina consistent with age. Newly framed and ready to hang.

Notes: This artwork is framed without protective glass. To preserve its condition, avoid hanging in areas exposed to high humidity or significant temperature fluctuations, such as kitchens, bathrooms and laundries, as moisture may cause the painted board to warp, delaminate or deteriorate over time.
