Marble Pyramid Table Lamp, Belgium, c.1980s

Lighting, but make it pointy.

A sculptural vintage Belgian marble table lamp, c.1980s, constructed in a geometric pyramid form from pale marble with natural veining. When illuminated, the stone becomes softly translucent, revealing the variation and veining within the marble.

The square-based pyramid is assembled from four triangular marble panels over a concealed internal light source, creating an architectural geometric form both illuminated and unlit.

Attribution: Unmarked, studio made.

Condition: Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Some surface marks are present towards the top of the pyramid, with a small non-structural crack to the marble at the base, as pictured.

Notes: Professionally rewired and fitted with a new Australian plug, inline switch and black flex. Tested and in working order.
