French Gard Stone Sculptural Table Lamp, in the Manner of Albert Tormos, c.1970s
A little rough around the edges. Aren’t we all?
A vintage French sculptural table lamp in the manner of Albert Tormos, believed to date to the 1970s. Carved from Pierre du Gard limestone, the base features a stacked geometric composition of rectangular stone forms separated by narrower recessed sections.
The natural limestone has a pale, warm beige colour with a porous, textured surface characteristic of the material. The architectural base is paired with a tapered white fabric lampshade, contrasting the substantial stone construction with a simple, understated silhouette.
